Filipino Wedding
Finally finished painting the wedding 40 years ago. A romantic story of a Filipino couple.
The old photos have blurred layers, serious color degradation, shape and space cohesion, and the wedding dress is all white. The most difficult thing is that the replacement head photo is black and white. Everything needs to be shaped and added through basic drawing skills and computer, and the character models are not suitable for Asians. I spent more than 20 nights on the computer, adding details and structures, and the final file size was close to 1T. The old man saw the reappearance of the scene from that year, and was so excited that he almost shed tears. That's why I started to paint on the canvas, and the familiar characters can almost be painted silently.
I painted for three months. During this time, I saw a lot of photos provided by my friends and searched the Internet. I feel that the Philippines was already quite prosperous in that era, and the people’s mental outlook was happy and relaxed. The streets were very similar to those in Japan and Hong Kong at the same time.
It was a hopeful age and era. The girl's eyes are full of happiness and innocence, while the boy is so confident and firm. They have walked happily to this day, and the photos in every period are joy and happiness.
And I care more about the motherland and people's living conditions 40 years ago.
